El Tatio Geysers + Cactus Canyon + Puritama Hot Springs
Discover the majesty of the highlands atacameño: fumaroles impressive, walking through the cactus trees and relaxation in hot springs.
Morning – Tatio Geysers
- Early departure from the hotel in a private vehicle.
- Arrival at the geothermal field of El Tatio, the third largest in the world, to observe the spectacle of fumaroles and steam columns.
- Interpretive walk by the sector, with explanations of the geology and volcanic activity.
- Breakfast with local products, while enjoying the landscape of the altiplano.
- We are on track to make an arrest contemplative in the beautiful wetland of Putana, to appreciate the avifauna of the place.
- Then we head to the small village of machuca, where you can taste anticuchos flames (not included).
- One last stop will be in the bofedal (peat) machuca to appreciate the avifauna of the place.
Mid-Morning – Barrel of Cactus (Guatín)
- Transfer to the Barrel of Guatín, also known as the Canyon of the Cacti, for a gentle walk among rock formations and giant cactus trees.
- Detention to be able to eat a small cheese board with drinks.
Late – Puritama Hot Springs
- Visit to the Puritama hot Springs, a set of natural pools of thermal water located in a canyon surrounded by vegetation.
- Free time for swimming and relaxation in the warm waters (approx. 33°C).
- Return to San Pedro de Atacama at the end of the afternoon.
